The authors:
Joost Desender (65) holds a Master’s Degree in physical education and has a history as a
physical coach at Club Bruges and KV Ostend, among others. Joost is the founding father of
the Physical coach course in Flanders and the author of many critically acclaimed football
books as well.
Govert Quintyn (41) worked as a physiotherapist and works as a physical coach at SV Zulte
Waregem's first team. As a lecturer for Football Flanders, he is the founder of the 'Injury
Prevention Coach' course.
